Santa Clara County Poll Monitoring for California Primaries, Feb 5th 2008: Sponsored by the KACSF in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division. Poll monitors served in teams of 2 for two-hour shifts to observe the polling process on Super Tuesday. We were watching out for civil rights violations and to ensure that voter rights were observed in Santa Clara County during the California primary on February 5th. Fourth Annual BAKAS Wine Tasting at Fort Mason Center - June 29, 2007: With over 400 participants, this event provides an opportunity for Korean Americans in the Bay Area to network and learn about the work of KA organizations and non-profits in the Bay Area (e.g. professional societies, community centers, mentorship programs, and civic programs).
Korea Times Annual Softball Tournament, Hayward, CA – July-August 2007: KACSF entered a team the past four years and came in 2nd place at this annual KA Softball event.
Bay Area Home Ownership Fair: In October 2006, KACSF, along with co-sponsors Korean American Professional Society and the Korean IT Network, held the first annual Korean American Home Ownership Fair in San Jose. The goal was to help those in the Bay Area Korean community learn more about how to get started on owning a home.
Citizenship Day: KACSF worked with CET and other community groups in Santa Clara county to provide potential applicants, with legal and translation services during the month of March to commemorate U.S. Citizenship Day.
24th San Francisco Asian American Film Festival: In March 2006, together with the Contemporary Asian Theater Scene (CATS), KACSF was a proud co-presenter of featured Korean/Korean American films: Dear Pyongyang, and Rules of Dating.
